Brief description:

Cultures are enriched when they are shared, so introducing and learning about other traditions can be a bridge of intercultural cooperation. Our project wants to be an intercultural opportunity where students introduce their own local traditions, food, local costumes, dances, songs and learn about others.

The project idea is to create an interactive map where each school upload photos, videos and short texts in English about the local traditions of their village or city. All this information must be collected in a padlet, so in the interactive map each school will share their location and padlet link.

Goals

- Exchange knowledge and information about different traditions.
- Develop among children interest in traditions.
- Discover similarities and differences with other cultures and traditions.
- Get to know there are many different languages in Europe and around the world.
- Create a greater appreciation for one's traditions and for others.
- Build in children the feeling of being members of citizens of the world.
- Teach and promote respect and tolerance.
- Develop social abilities.
- Improve language skills.
- Improve the use of technology.
